Wellness Programs - Inter-State Diagnostic

Inter-State Diagnostic tailors each and every wellness program to the specific needs of each company. We bring all of the necessary staff and equipment to the workplace and set up on site. The employees start out by filling out an in-depth Health Risk Assessment ( HRA ) so that we can assess past history and current lifestyle. The employees come into a room during work hours at their scheduled appointment time. Depending on what the needs are, the employee will receive either a biometric screening, which consists of taking their blood pressure, calculating their BMI, screening their glucose and screening their cholesterol, or they will receive a full physical exam which is much more comprehensive. The medical/wellness professional will review the results from the health risk assessment and from the tests that were taken, and create a "personal prevention plan" tailored for each employee.

The company has the option to schedule a wellness fair during the screening or physical exam which includes a nutritionist that helps the employees with dietary concerns, a personal trainer that helps the employees with exercise concerns and they can enjoy a chair massage with a massage therapist that helps the employees with stress related concerns. There are many more options that could be added to the wellness fair. A healthy lunch could be provided for the employees to enjoy.

After the screening or physical exam, if necessary, a weight watchers program can be brought on site and a smoking cessation program can be put in place. Weekly emails could be sent to the employees regarding health and wellness. Monthly incentivized contests could be implemented to keep the employees motivated and participating. Follow-up would be provided before and after each contest goes into effect. The goal is for Inter-State to come back a year later and see a positive change in the health and wellbeing of the employees, an increase in productivity and a decrease in the money that the company is spending on healthcare.
